Second Grade

Hi! I’m so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! My name is Mr. Schmidt, and I can’t wait to learn, grow, and have an amazing year together. I married my high school sweet heart, Haley, and we have two wonderful kids name Maddie (15) and Luke (13). We have two corgis name Diesel and Darla. Our kids sports and activities keep us busy every day of the week! But when I get some free time, I love to woodwork and workout when I get the chance. I am a big Cowboys, Spurs, Texas, and North Carolina basketball fan!

I have 16 years of experience teaching in elementary. I spent 9 years as a classroom teacher, teaching second, third and fourth grade. My last 7 years I was the Physical Education coach. I am now excited to get back into the classroom!!
